Bali Eats

I've been travelling to Bali for quite some time now and as a bit of a foodie one of my favourite things to do is EAT! I am all about finding the best food experiences on the Island especially the ones that not everyone knows about. I am currently in Bali so here are my top 3 of the moment.

1. La Baracca Canggu.

They have 3 restaurants on the island and the food is amazing at all of them however the ambiance at Canggu is what sets this one apart for me. Sit on the upper level at sunset for pure romantic bliss.

If you have someone to share with treat yourself to the "Famo Noi" antipasti. A ridiculously delicious mix of traditional Italian appetisers. Follow that with the best wood fire pizza in Bali. Pair it with a delicious glass of chilled red wine and you will go home a happy Chappy. The added touch of small complimentary tasters on arrival and a yummy shot of limoncello to finish make the whole experience a 10/10 for me.

2. Chai Ba

Located in Seminyak this explosion of Indian flavour is a must. Go in small groups so you can order an array of dishes to share. King Prawn Masala and the Roti are a must for me along with the Palak Paneer however you really can't go wrong with any of their dishes. The food is full of fresh spices that make your bellies happy. They pride themselves on their homemade everything and providing balanced meals that are full of nourishment. This isn't the kind of Indian that leaves you feeling heavy and sluggish.

3. Taman Bambu

If you love Indonesian cuisine this is a great one for lunch. Its a pick and mix style where you choose from a huge array of delicious looking dishes. And that is the hardest part, there is such large selection of things to choose from and you couldn't possibly fi it all on one plate. My top picks are the corn fritters, bamboo shoots and fish skewers oh and how can I forget the crunchy mix of nuts and tempe. If you're a brown rice lover like me you will be very please to have the option of both white and brown rice. You'll find this hidden gem on Jalan Plawa in Seminyak and it will only cost you a few dollars.
